Stokes arrives for her new job in the big firm. She is greeted by the makers of financial prosperity, those most exciting of theatrical subjects: accountants. As she stumbles through this bizarrely normal world, she begins to wonder if anyone here actually knows what’s going on beyond the glass doors of their magnificent tower? Do they ever leave? Are the even interested? And what is Stokes herself doing here? Behind the banal realities of the financial institution, what absurdities keep the world spinning, and maintain our eyes are kept widely shut.

After a hugely successful 2018 debut with Youth and Destination, Manifesto Theatre retains to the Kings Cross Theatre in 2019 as James Raggatt tackles the dark realities of institution in this scathing new play.
