The Popupstairs program is an innovative use of space. Partnering with KX Hotel to share the use of the beautiful Bordello room, KXT has installed a simple lighting rig, set up seating for 50, and opened the doors to Sydney’s indie mavericks.
In 2021 and following months of theatre closures, we received hundreds of applications. The final program is only a small sample of the exciting work being made by Sydney’s independent artists.
Popupstairs is an uncurated program. We’re building a home for artists to test their work, and for audiences to test their boundaries.
