After 17 year old Allen blinds six horses, psychologist Martin Dysart is tasked with finding out the motive. As Dysart digs deeper into Alan’s fractured inner world, he is drawn into a mind shaped by raw sexuality, religious fervor, obsession, and repression—forcing him to question not only his patient, but his own carefully ordered life.
