Returning after 2023’s sold-out smash Mortel, Merak brings their unforgettable visual storytelling style back to KXT’s stage with a blistering new Australian play that lays bare the raw, complex dynamics of a mother-daughter relationship, trapped in a waterlogged room with nothing but a bathtub and each other.
The debut play by Gemma Burwell, GRAVY is a 60-minute theatrical rupture, a surreal, absurdist and unflinching spotlight on two women fighting to make sense of a world that won’t let them. A gripping, unpredictable deep dive into the psyche, offering a haunting glimpse into their struggle for understanding and connection.
