Night Slows Down | Don't Look Away & bAKEHOUSE

Written by Phillip James Rouse

MARTIN - On Twitter people are posting flag burning, people throwing bricks at banks and cars.
SHARON - Hooligans.
MARTIN - No. That’s the weird thing. It’s just normal people

Sharon wants to find her husband. Martin wants to be free. And Seth has dived off the deep end into alt-right / neo-Nazi propaganda. This thought-provoking new work examines the principles we break to protect the ones we love. And hope.

Nominated for 8 Sydney Theatre Awards, 1 Green Room award and 2 ADPG awards, in 2017 Don't Look Away is evolving into a company that creates new work, responding to Australia's place within an international context. Politically engaged and forward thinking, DLA's newest work Night Slows Down, written by Artistic Director Phillip James Rouse, responds to recent events in global politics.
